Products and Services

Comprehensive Behavioral Care provides solutions to the challenges encountered by Medicaid, Medicare and other publicly funded behavioral health systems. These solutions have developed from our core competencies in clinical, quality, financial, and administrative management practices. We customize solutions for each health plan and public entity client to deliver desired clinical outcomes within budget constraints. We implement service delivery systems through well-planned startups, which lead to high levels of satisfaction for members, providers and clients.

Full risk management subcontracts demonstrate the breadth of our competencies. Additionally, we unbundle our services to complement client resources and decrease duplication of expense. Clients can select services relating to quality, finance, administration and clinical management for an administrative services only fee.

The key clinical program components of the Public Behavioral Health product are:
  • Care Management - Our systems are based on a value of stewardship of public resources. Clinical protocols and practice guidelines rely on Evidenced Based Practices and are tailored for unique member needs and reflect local resource availability
  • Community Based Services - Our services surround the member with support, maximize access and ensure the likelihood of successful community tenure.
  • QuickNet - Rapid access to providers specifically contracted to see members within hours of their crises, close to where they live, provide the best possible member outcomes. Crises are de-escalated through expert clinical intervention and community support, avoiding unnecessary hospitalization.
  • Behavioral Pharmacy Management - Analysis of pharmacy data triggers Care Management strategies that integrate behavioral health and primary care, resulting in improved outcomes for members and savings for the health plan/public entity. This newest product offering was developed in response to market demand, as pharmacy costs escalate nationally. Click here for more information.
  • High-Risk Case Management - Identification of "at-risk" members prompts continuous communication with health plan/public entity medical case managers, the member and their family, the PCP and other treatment specialists. Coordination of services results in improved levels of functioning and significant cost savings.
  • Disease Management - Our disease state management program guidelines for Depression, ADHD, and co-morbid medical conditions, such as Asthma, Diabetes and Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), coordinate physical medicine components with mental health and substance abuse treatment elements. • Primary Care Physician Interface - Education and support of the primary care physician and his/her office staff by the CompCare clinical team adds value for members and providers alike by maximizing coordination of primary care with mental health and substance abuse treatment to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Development - By inviting us to participate early in the planning process for a new product offering, (or in response to a Request For Proposal from a contracting entity), we can maximize the impact of our support in product development. Thoughtful integration of the program components will minimize overlap of functions, minimize cost and maximize the positive impact to the members enrolled in the program. We suggest that inviting us to a "consultation" early in the planning process may have significant impact on your program design, bid and results. In all cases there is no cost associated with a consultation with CompCare.
  • Validated Financial Forecasting
The unique solutions provided by Comprehensive Behavioral Care for public sector clients flexibly change to respond to new government regulation, advances in practice and alterations in funding. Partnership in planning, implementation, delivery, refinement and re invention of the product is crucial in the rapidly changing, complex public service environment.
